The Seven Devils are part of the Hells Canyon National Recreaton Area. The snowcapped peaks climb from the Snake River to 9,393 feet skyward and stretch across the horizon 's 40 miles of hiking trails. From the top of this world at Heavens Gate Lookout, a spectacular view of Washington, Idaho and Montana can be enjoyed.
Shoshone Falls is 1,000 feet wide and 212 feet high in a horseshoe shape. It is higher than Niagra. The greatest flow occurs in the spring before the water is diverted to the region's irrigation system.
