Historic pink label copy of the very first record of The Beatles to appear in the U.S. in April, 1962. Note the name on the label! This was a negligible hit in Germany and England in late 1961. Polydor records enlisted their U.S. affiliate, Decca Records, to promote this record in the U.S.. Not convinced that the name 'Beatles' was marketable, Decca complied with Polydor's suggestion to change their to 'The Beat Brothers' on the label with them being the backup band for
Tony Sheridan.
