Laurence Juber (born November 12, 1952 in Stepney, East London) is an English guitarist, most famous for playing lead guitar in Wings.
A native of London, Juber joined Wings in July 1978 and remained until its disbandment in April 1981. He subsequently became a studio musician and played guitar for numerous television shows, including Happy Days and Family Ties. In 1990, he released his first solo album, Solo Flight.
Juber began playing as a fingerstyle guitarist, once being voted as "Guitarist of the Year" by readers of Fingerstyle Guitar magazine. He also was part of Al Stewart's 1995 album Between the Wars and 2005 album A Beach Full Of Shells.
Muriel Anderson
Muriel Anderson, born in Downers Grove, Illinois, is a composer and award winning guitarist. Anderson studied classical music in college at DePaul University with Leon Borkowski. She later took master courses with classical virtuoso Christopher Parkening. In 1989 she became the first woman to win the National Fingerpicking Guitar Championship. Her recordings have traveled as far as outer space, accompanying the astronauts on a space shuttle mission. Anderson is an Adjunct Faculty Instructor of guitar at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee. She is founder & director of the Music for Life Alliance. She is also the founder and host of the All Star Guitar Night which donates its proceeds to the Music for Life Alliance.
Phil Keaggy
Phil Keaggy (born March 23, 1951 in Youngstown, Ohio is a guitarist and vocalist. He was raised in a small farmhouse in Hubbard, Ohio with nine brothers and sisters, and began playing guitar at age ten on a Sears Silvertone guitar. He is missing half of the middle finger on his right hand due to a childhood accident at age 4 involving a water pump. He is frequently listed as one of the top fingerstyle guitarists by Guitar Player Magazine readers' polls.
