I was born in Recife ( Brasil )on april 23, 1961. I am married with ROSA, a beautiful Spanish girl and we have two children, Daniel y Paula. Now I´m living in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Canary Islands of Spain, where I work like a musician.

I began to play guitar at five years age. Belong to a family of musicians, but never went to any school or music conservatory. So I´m autodidact. I learned to play guitar jamming with other musicians, and went digesting all musical styles.

Today's Featured Artist - Zane Charron

"Combining traditional acoustic guitar with modern techniques and a percussive style, Zane turns what would usually sound like a single instrument into a full band, including a rhythm section, backup and lead guitar. Add his strong voice to the mix and he becomes a captivating and entertaining solo artist. His music is a refreshing blend of intricate, dazzling fingerpicking guitar and uniquely arranged songs from a variety of genres. Together they create a rich sound that embodies the spirit of the contemporary American acoustic guitar scene. This is hand-made music at its best."

Today's Featured Artist - Don Alder

"Don currently resides in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. His unique style of playing incorporates fingerpicking with simultaneous percussion on the soundboard to create a wall of sound. He is often referred to as sounding like a four piece band. Don's music is his own unique weave of deeply textured melody and story. Lyrical and compelling, his original songs are notes of exploration - some passionate and haunting, some hard-driven, others light and teasing. In quiet pieces or pushing right to the edge, Don's phenomenal fingerstyle playing and rich voice captivate."

Today's Featured Artist- Pat Kirtley

A Kentucky-born guitarist who learned the instrument at an early age via the Atkins/Travis/Doc Watson heritage, Pat Kirtley admits to having been hard-bitten by the Irish music bug in the late 1980's after hearing guitarist John McCormick playing Celtic tunes in DADGAD tuning. He began exploring that tuning, and channeling significant creative energy into arranging Irish fiddle tunes and airs. "I am as fascinated by the fabulous wealth of musicality represented in the Irish folk-tradition as I am by the fact that I went through most of my musical life being totally ignorant of its existence," Pat remarks. The results of that work are represented in his body of work by arrangements of "Planxty Irwin" (in DADEAD tuning), the set dance "Rodney's Glory," and airs "Moran's Return" and "The South Wind," all appearing on his 1997 album Irish Guitar.

Today's Featured Artist - Neil Young

Neil Percival Young (born November 12, 1945, Toronto, Ontario) is a Canadian singer-songwriter, guitarist, pianist, and film director.

Young's work is characterized by deeply personal lyrics, distinctive guitar work, and signature nasal tenor (and frequently alto) singing voice. Although he accompanies himself on several different instruments—including piano and harmonica—his style of hammer-on acoustic guitar is the linchpin of a sometimes ragged, sometimes polished sound.

Today's Featured Artist - Jose Luis Merlin

One of Argentina's foremost musical ambassadors, composer-guitarist José Luis Merlin has toured the globe over twenty times and has produced a dozen recordings. He is widely acknowledged as an expert in Argentinian and South American music. The Keiler Nachriten (Germany) asserted that "An artist like José Luis Merlin needs no certificates of his mastery over the strings of his guitar, since the composer does more than dominate the instrument. It is a kind of symbiosis."

Today's Featured Artist - Django Reinhardt

January 23, 1910 – May 16, 1953

Django Reinhardt has astounded and thrilled numerous generations of guitar players and jazz lovers with his amazing command of the guitar. January 24th, 1910 at Liberchies Belgium, Django was born into the open air, rambling lifestyle of his gypsy parents. At the age of eight, his mother's tribe settled near the belt of fortifications that surrounded the old Paris, near the Choisy gate. He never wore a suit or lived in a real house until he was twenty years old. These French Gypsies or Manouches were a world unto themselves, medieval in their beliefs, and distrustful of modern science. Django grew up in this world of contradictions, one foot in the bustling big city of Paris and the other in the age-old life of the nomadic gypsy. Though born into poverty Django had the soul of a nobleman and this natural elegance of bearing and attitude expressed itself in his music.

Born Stephen Paul in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, son of a steelmill worker, Esteban saw his first guitar in a shop window when he was 8 years old.
