Project X - The C-A-G-E-D System

This tip comes from my old friend Andrew Koblick, of Guitar5Day. Andy has a great new lessons resource, which he mysteriously calls "Project X", and this video lesson is an extract from the course. It explains the C-A-G-E-D system, and shows you how to use this to master the fretboard. Somewhat radically, Andy shows that, while the general thinking is that you need to use five forms for playing scales and lead runs, this can actually be reduced down to just TWO! Obviously, this makes the art of gaining control of your guitar's entire fretboard so much easier.

Climbing the Scales to Success

Chris Elmore, owner of ElmoreMusic, and co-owner with myself of GuitarBackingTracks has supplied another very useful tip for my Blog readers.

Chris has made the transition from top guitarist in his native Australia to teacher of guitar players all around the world. Any of you who have subscribed to one or more of the great courses under the ElmoreMusic banner will know that he gives freely of his time and advice.
